you need to buy new rubber bands you would of had them buy now if you ordred them from antig.speedway forks are way different to hagon forks. ians bike has the rubberbands as it is leading link but earlyer speedway forks have no intechangable parts with hagon type forks
jim
YOU told me the bands are the same as the ones on the front links of modern and that i needed 2 per side ?

Thats actually a pencil drawing, pretty bloody good.
I can make out 2 of the signatures, Bruce Penhall and Bobby Schwartz.
Where did that pic come from Jim?
Carlos has one and there was one up on ebay a while back.
1974, his first season in England, original Banana seat, Johnno leathers ( the best ) and our family racing no2 on his helmet.
Carl & Bruce actually shared a house together in the old dart.

YOUr getting my forks confused jim.  I have both the pogos in my speedway, and t handle type forks for bands on the 125 slider.  I know what your saying.  what i was saying is if ian had spare front bands off his speedway bike, i might be able to send them to stew to find out why the sliders forks are sticking.
you on a differant tangent.  I know what your saying buyt your missing what im doing.

I havent order anything from antig yet as im looking at there long seats etc and i want to order anything i need in one shipment.  IM also doing some stuff for the speedway bike throught cody's so im kinda doing 2 things at once.  dont confuse me.

freaky
the sliders are sticking as they are bent.i ditched mine bad at nepean once and the bent like a bannana.the bottom forks were 6mm out of parallel and used to stick in the down position no amount of rubber bands would bring them back.i went to yamaha gtymx 80 forks instead.peter campbell of goulburn trued the hagon forks up for my brother and they work great now with new rubbers fron antig.make sure you cable tye them in the middle as at griffith i road my brothers and got a small mono off the start in the parade laps and 2 fly off as the weight unloaded off the front end.
you got my point get new ones good

Update ... fork tubes are now as straight as I can get them,  seem to be travelling up and down with only a tad of resistance.  Put them in the lathe and belt the farker out of them till I had 8 thou run out .
Freaky .... you will need new fork rubbers ... as they have lost there elasticity.

 Very helpful feller.
When I took the old bands off they were like pieces of bakelite hard as a rock and no give . cheers pancho.
