Hey Marc,
Wasn't there an article back in the day in one of the old Pommy mags that had a test of a Cheney XL with the Ribi style forks.

It could just be my memory, but I am 90% sure…

No Marc the article I am trying to remember was back in the 70's when the XL Cheney was current. It was written by Frank Melling, it was a 4 page story in black and white. I can see it in my minds eye.

I will try to see if I can find it [don't hold your breath though  ;)]

Perhaps one of the brains trust might have better recollections than me.

That is my next project. I have a NOS Cheney center port frame and XL350 motor with fire poured into it (thanks Rod Spry)

The forks can be made in three lengths to suit your application.

Just sorting out the final spec now....

Should be something different when done.

The forks are being made by one of the worlds best framebuilders, Colin Mundy at Hectors.

He is Scandinavian, he cant help it.  It is the law over there to have clean, tidy and efficient workships.  It is a skill learnt from a very young age.  :)   Good job we dont do it that way over here in the UK ~ I'd be looking at a life sentence ~ my garage looks like a bomb has gone off in it (of course I know where everything is though.......)

Who does the forks, and does he want to do sets  at the same time  ;)
