The high point at the Grands was meeting up with young Tommy Edwards and cheering him on, the young man rode hard and fast, used his head and came away with 2 Grand National Championships. Tommy also came second in the 85cc class, at the Awards Ceremony he was presented with Youth Rider of the Year, really an honour for an Aussie on their turf. Well Bloody Done Tommy. If somebody can pick this up and take it to MA, be really good.

Jarrod Mees with the repair on the arm after we seen him go through the fence at Ashland. Cool scar, shudder to think of the cost, Colleen had a quick visit to a GP, $195 USD. Ouch.

Flyer for the Kansas Series Grasy and I will be going to, can't wait to catch up with our mates Kelly and Dave. Paul Covert has the series payout at 25G so far with class payouts of 150% for the Vintage Racers, that's a big deal, it means Paul is effectively losing money running the old bikes. The crowd love 'em so that is his motive I'm sure.

Will be running Golden Tires again, thanks to Chris Carr, love to get that tire thing sorted with our Aussie champs, the ruling no "oil tires" would seem to make the US dirt track tyre elligable I assume as no tracks here (USA) run oil. Am staying with a mate Colleen and I have met over the trips, Ron Long, he has paid our entry and we will be using his workshop tomorrow, will be hard racing against the moderns though. Ron has won the mile before (again last year) so he will be a great help.

Hard day against the moderns, managed third in heat race, that put me in the A-Main (top third of qualifiers). 11th in the Main, not good but I learned a lot and we did have some bike problems (friction materiel came of the pad, not good either). Kinda scary but fast, I turned into turn 3 and lost the back end once, surprisingly it just washed off speed, a good thing!

Davey, check this fish, a gift from a bloke on the Oregan coast. The food is all good mate!
But that Chinook Salmon was the best.
