Great looking bike almost wish I didn't sell mine.
Very underrated bike IMO fast and light and they don't need allot of setup to be very competitive.
Glad to see another one getting out there. Lyal told me he sold hundreds of them back in the day but were are they now?

Sorry no idea just gave it to my paint guy who mixed it to mate the original colour on the under side of the tank.

Still have a lot of front fork sorting to do as the new fork springs are way too stiff :(.

Also had a small problem with the clutch which kept loosing adjustment ??? hopefully sorted this weeks. I was very impressed with engine performance and handling. Now just to get the rider up to the same standard  ::)

Very sweet looking bike, but wait until you give it heaps.  My first resto (not this pretty) after discovering VMX about 5 years ago was one of these.  I was looking for a Bultaco or Ossa, but a VR came along.  Fast, handles well, starts easily (stick with a Bing, they leak, but give great power).  Mine made me look much better than I am.

Yes Mike they are one of the prettiest bikes of that era in my opinion. I also prefer the Bing but unfortunately that was one part that was missing so presently it has a Mikuni. I am keeping my eye out for a Bing as I find them much simpler than the Mikunis and they seem to suite the Monties best.
