'Howzit' from Durban
« on: February 14, 2011, 04:25:41 am »
Hi guys,
Finally upgraded from 'lurker' to 'member'. Durban is on the east coast of South Africa, with some of the best riding in the world on our doorstep.
Yes, I'm 'vintage' myself, although very new to the vintage bike scene. Have been riding offroad since the late 70's, on a succession of all kinds of bikes. And then I got myself an old PE, which opened up a whole can of worms, and which is trying desperately hard to empty my wallet.
Have joined the forum because everytime I Googled anything to do with restoring PE, there near the top was ozvmx. So, hope to find lots of info here (already have!) and share the rerbuild as it moves along.
Oh, and by the way, 'Howzit' is a traditional South African greeting, much like 'Gday'
Pete

Howzit Pete, welcome aboard. Good ol' OzVMX, top of the Google lists eh? Who'd a thunk that 6 years ago? Anyway, you are right, plenty of PE talk here. Enjoy!
