Seat rebuild
« on: February 07, 2011, 09:10:50 pm »
I'm rebuilding the seat on my VR250. Have a new replica metal seat base, new replica foam and cover.

Should I glue the foam to the seat base?

The seat base has those little pressed through spikes to hols the cover on. Are they the best method of fixing the cover or should I do something else?

no i wouldnt glue new seat foam to base but yes use those spikes where u can bend them back down on those that havent broke .u can use some contact adhesive on corners or use a small aluminium sealed  pop rivet to hold down those corner folds cheers chris

Mine is just attached to the spikes Greg. It sits pretty neat. ;)
