I think it was taken back in the 90`s, at rye reserve, l was President of the Colac Motorcycle club at the time and it was just before the first mortlake meeting. The track was a sandy track always needed work. I was going through my old paper clippings and found it bill so l though that l might share it with you all. There is quite a large write up around the photo and l couldn`t fit it all in.

Kinda on/off topic, but......
The Colac track was one of the better vintage friendly tracks around till they dumped all that goo on it, why did they do that?
In mid 2000's the committe also shut out the Classic and VIPER groups, again, why?

Again, one of my favorite tracks, a real shame that we don't get to ride it any more. >:(

Yeah I thought so. Didn't you or the Colac club run a vintage meeting there in about 96 or 97 as I remember taking my Mk7 125 down there for Jason Mcguiness to race that day. He rode in Juniors and won all his races by a mile even after the bully had broken the top ring land out of the piston in the second last race, We pulled the piston out and filed off the damaged area washed the bottom end out and just run it with the bottom ring in it. We had to push it round and round the pits with very little compression to get it going for the last race, but he still won the last one as well.

Stan, l don`t  think it was Kettle Park, the meeting that you are thinking off was in the same area but different paddock, didn`t one rider got hurt that day.

Number 71 bike is an ex Trevor Flood Bike that he rode for millige Brother Melbourne, and Ross still races that same bike in Currant vintage meetings.

Brett, that is my race number 95 and that fellow is me sitting on the VR,  12 months later that bike ended up in QLD, a fellow name john drove all the way down to my house in Colac in a Ford sedan greenie blue color, l pulled the bike apart and he drove back to brisband with the bike in the back seat.
