81 KTM LC 125 , Evo or Pre 85
« on: January 04, 2011, 10:38:21 am »
AS this bike is twin shock air cooled but with water as well dose it fit into Evo or would you make it pre 85?
As an Evo bike it would be a ripper but as pre 85 not so good.

Thats the model I am riding in my little pikky.
Brilliant machine , fast, reliable, handled great and was pretty.
Wish I still had it.
Still got the compliance plate right here, brand new , never used.

I know where there are 2 off them, unsure whether it's worth the trouble for pre 85 as the 84 KTM was much better.

As an enduro bike it had all the right stuff.
Other riders thought it was a 250 the way it went up hills. :)
As a mx ride ? Na

I raced one a few times and I remember it being more than fast enough and it handled good but was very tall but against a good RM 125 or the KTM 84 it wouldn't be as good.
Shame it is a nice bike but just falls between the cracks as an Evo it would be a ripper.

By them and run them. For the cool factor alone not to mention it's not just another cr125re or rm125e or yz125l. With the tracks we run and unless you are worried about winning a national event, they aren't that much of a disadvantage if at all. That is unless its an absolute pig! (Which I doubt).
