a plane bearing eh..something I'd expect to find on a 747  :D slipper bearing is a much more popular name. Quite efficient and it allows crank grinding and undersizing to happen although I agree, I have never seen them for an MX250 ..ever rarer than rare! :D

I think the seller has got it all wrong. As Jim has pointed out, the part # is for an FJ 1100 roady. There is little hope of a plain bearing fitting into your MX250.

weird thing I never realized Tim is for sustained high rpm the old slipper bearing are more reliable than your everyday needle roller bearing. The friction can be reduced quite dramatically as it floats on oil basically. I'm led to believe a needle roller can actually have more mechanical drag in use. My little cbr honda would rev happily to 20000rpm and it cruised for hours on end at about 13000-16000rpm..mind you I could not feel my hands after the first hour or so such was the buzzing  :)

Umm I do not have stock Honda slippers or rods  in my top 754 Sidecar engine... They are the only parts used from the old Supercharged drag bike. ,one reason of a few why it has between 5 to 11 base gaskets,,  Shhhh ;)
