No Tankslapper, this ones been in NSW for quite a while,

Was actually going through Enos first post no 1 in the cz forum and the link below seems to show it as a 77 model (similar pic to post of yours CG) is it possible the simlarities carried right through to 1988 with no real change. I know sweet f all as this is a mates bike just baby sitting at the moment while he gets a nice new extra large shed built but he was hoping to ride it pre 78 open :-\

Paul
He bought it for $1200 twelve months ago complete the lucky bastard and he wont part with it,(although I keep chipping away at him regulary and remind him possession is nine tenths of the law) think he wants to hang it on his new shed wall as an ornament :D

As CG said, it's late 80's build, it's a similar build to what they were making in the late 70's. It's kind of sad for me as these were the factories last gasp to survive.  :'(
I have ridden one & they are a nice bike, should in all fairness be allowed to race pre-1980. Pretty much the final evolution of that motor, centre port barrel, "Jikuni" carb, unsure if it's electronic ignition. The forks are possibly Russian build as someone once pointed out they have a hammer & sickle stamp somewhere, good looking triple clamps too. The hubs are different to earlier models which had cast magnesium conical hubs.

Your own Mr Drakeford I'm sure could tell you a lot more than I can.

I think they let 514 and 513 CZs in pre 80, but I may be mistaken. I know they're legal for Evo. I rode one too and wish I hadn't. They really should have been a better bike than they turned out to be. I almost bought one but chickened out.

Drakie had one in the crate and he kept it that way for years. He invited a few mates around for the great unvieling ceremony with the many stages  being photographed for posterity and the event was celebrated with the consumption of alcohol.
He took it for a quick ride that evening.
He sold it not long after.

Hey Geoff, you look a tad like Elvis in his declining years in that photo and who would think that the dorky looking fella in the green jacket would be such a genius on a motorbike.

GMC that is a photo of a fearfully quick lot of Victorian  VMX and Vinduro racers. Is the dorkie bloke in green an infamous Diary farmer???? Of course I know the man is a "true motorcycle racing legend" worthy of in the top end of the VMX tree.  Polite , great nature, smiles and helps you when you stuck, can race so FAST but always fairly on any machine ,flash and new or rough pug ugly and old with a brutal intensity ...Jedi Master John Boag....
I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

'Barn fresh' comes to mind! He pulled up next to me at the Coffs Nats and i looked at all the bikes on the trailer. I said to him (jokingly) "are you gunna ride all those?"
He just looked at me and said "yeahhhhh".... and he bloody well did!
