After spending about three hours trying to press the pin out that holds the shock onto the swing-arm, one of the bushes fell out into my lap. Upon closer inspection I found that some person had cleverly improvised a piece of garden hose with some duct tape wrapped around it (obviously in the middle of some big dessert race or some-such thing ::)). See if you can pick the real one.....



Needless to say, the swing-arm's a little flogged out.....

Here's another great piece of improvisation. Why waste valuable loc-tite when you can just weld that sucker onto the crank?

On a brighter note, all that stuff that I've ordered  is making its way here from all over the world, Yay!
New rims and spokes delivered for about 200 bucks.



and HEAPS of stuff from my Yamaha dealer. Apart from those pain-in-the-arse steering head seals, there's an abundance of NOS stuff.
Even the air-cleaner is factory Yamaha and it's just so cute i wanna stick it in Nanna's crystal cabinate with the Royale Daulton. ;)

Luckily I have a second one there JC but thanks very much for the offer. :)
If anyone does have a muffler for one (or maybe a G or H) in decent condition I'd be more than happy to part with some 'hard-earned' for it.

They must have chopped out an awful lot of steering head seals...... :'(

Had a pretty productive weekend. Maico Girl graciously removed the hubs from the rims for me in her usual efficient way....



Blasted the hubs, backing plates, the cat.....
Painted it all (the cat was over the fence by this stage)

The back rim laced up a treat (although I get the impression the nipples are made from butter) and:

WALLAAH!!

Been a little busy makkin' sure my Viper bike's ready (didn't even need new rings when we checked out the top. ;)). That's all fine so now it's back to this little beasty.

Engine is all done. New top end, crank, bearings and seals. Sweet.





Seat cover and graphics for it have arrived (not a hope in hell of getting anything like the standard Yamaha cover but the black'll be cool).
