Eye Injury
« on: December 16, 2010, 06:33:45 am »
Hi everyone,
Just had eye operation on Monday to repair my dodgy eye I damaged 7 years ago. After being blind for near a year I am happy to say that the operation went really well and I now have full vision better than my good eye. I had my cataract lense removed , alot of scar tissue removed and cleaned up, a new lense fitted and now all I have to do is learn to see with two eyes again. My damaged retina was left alone as it has been like it for 7 years and the doctor thought that the chances of repairing it successfully was not worth the risk as it has a fair bit of scar tissue around it and it has repaired it self quite well. I would like to thank all the well wishers from all over the place who have been inquiring of my eye. Havent ridden for about 9 months, wont be long before I go for a ride. Charged the battery on my old 7/54 might even go for a ride on the weekend. Bring on the race season and the next big race meet. Now looking forward to Bike bonaza going to have my first ever go at DT and also looking forward to catching up to everyone at the nationals

Xmas Cheers
Fatboy

Glad to hear all went well for you.
But don't push it too soon though, Ballard ended up with an infection at the Nats, I think from getting out and about too soon after surgery.

He had a chuckle when I told him of an Oakley add I once saw...

Now that MA has drug tested you Rossco and found that you are really a costume changing alien from West Africa all results from the past have been wiped clean and will be started fresh. Until we meet next fatboy2 you will never beat me again I will push you off  ;D ;D thats if I cant get you disqualified for to many costume changes in one race.  ??? :D

Eye getting much better now starting to get used to two eyes again. Christmas partys tonight look out I will be able to see what I am drinking. :P

Dave seeing the big guy's the Tassie rep for Klub Kevlar I've earmarked him to do some hot laps on the Benelli 650 at the HBBB. Once he's had a taste of Italy he may be ruined for any future 'little bike' rides. ;D

Mark, the mighty KX450 should scare the crap out of him on DT - he's never ridden DT being as he is from Tasmania. Will be worth the price of admission alone.

That is good news...glad it's all come together for you. Must be a load off.
See you next year. :)
Looking at the weather, I don't think the 754 will be firing this weekend. :(
