Bloody Hell. Check out these for bloody lawn mowers. How about $137.51 for a plastic carby  :o . I can get a brand new complete Chinese mower for that. ;D

crazy price. i bought a victa 15years ago thinking buy aussie, it was a shitter with a plastic carby and lasted 6 years or so hard to start and noisy, rattly.

bought a Honda 7 years ago still going well and easy to start. get rid of the victa and buy someting better, not worth repairing.

My experience is the opposite.  8)

The O ring sealing the carb has softened and is now about 10mm too long and wont seal. I'm about to find out if my local mower shop is still in operation (and I think it's a no - have to travel about 30 klms to get a 10 cent item. :P)

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Your insensitive and hurtful remarks have motivated me to go outside and start my Honda mower (first pull usually!) that has been thoughtfully rebadged as Spains finest! Cheers Jerry
PS Geoff been for a drive yet?

Being a professional chlorophyll stalk cutter I've sent quite a few mowers to the big backyard in the sky :D Have to remember I do about 30 years worth of mowing each and every year so the hours get run up very quickly :o these days it's 90% ride on so its easy peasy stuff 8)

I wised up after a few years..bought this pair and have never looked back..

Lighter than any 4 stroke, more grunt than a 6.5hp Quantum Briggs, starts 2nd pull every time and parts are cheap as chips. Sounds and smells like a real engine too ;D

from the same site as the plastic carb..

Does anyone still make 2-stroke push mowers?

My second hand 2-stroke Victa has taken two years of The Treatment and is now very sad. I put up with the non-returning pull cord, the broken catcher, the non-working kill switch and even the rear flap breaking off (it fires stuff at your legs - just gotta be careful when you mow over the hard seed pods from the tree out the front).
But the mounting points for the fuel tank breaking off on the same day the front axle fell out (and I mowed it) was kinda enough to convince me to replace it.

Problem is that everyone wants to sell me a stinking 4-stroke.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

You soon wont be able to buy a 2 stroke mower the only one still on the market is Victa and they have been bought out by Briggs & Stratton one of the largest 4 stroke engine manufacturers around and I cant see them continuing with the Victa 2 stroke.
