What be your wonderful project ideas?
« on: November 29, 2010, 07:31:01 pm »
As I have hardly ever built any solo or sidecar that was not completely boring, hum drum, run of mill ,normal. I have decided to have a go at building a scrapheap type small turbine aviation kerosene jet engine VMX sidecar.( and yes of course with an afterburner!) May take a bit of time but seems a pretty viable way to pass the time. Does anyone have some easy to follow (jet thrust power for dumb shit engineer type) info or plans that may be of use? Cheers Tim754 :)
Wonder what capacity it would come under??
I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Looking for YZ250C parts NOS if possible

there are a number of excellent hobby books on making small jet engines. e.g. the KJ66. Search on the web for... now what was his name.. Kurt Schreckling  yes, that's the guy. There are Australians who sell plans too.

There was a guy on the discovery chanel that had a rocket powered wheel chair the side car is a much smarter place for a rocket or jet engine.

There is that jet bike they made a few of it is a road bike the Y2K only costs a small fortune though. ;)

Geez Tim your a worry  :o   ;D
They sound great though  :P and you'd have to design a good rubber tyre to lay down some marks on the bitumen.

Whats happened Tim, can't you get TV reception in Elmore any more :D

Those plans for mini jet engines have been around for decades, my dad was going to build one, thankfully he never got around to it.

If you thought it was hard to find a passenger now then I think it's going to get a lot worse for you.
