I have a Maico 500, a 96 model that is running an older 86 model barrel.
Unfortunately some foreign matter has entered the motor, the result piston and ring needs replacing and possibly a rebore.
Question is, do all Maicos from the first 490 to the current one's run the same piston? The bore for even the current one's (2010) does appears to be the same size at 86.5mm, however there could be other differences between them.
Any advice on the matter is appreciated, the current piston is a Wossner, can't see any clear markings about it being oversize, so any tips on specific numbers to look out for here is appreciated.
