It will be interesting to see who will be the local distributors in Australia.
I'm sure that they will control the internet sales of this gear and whilst you will be able to get the gear from the good ole US of A, be prepared for the extra-ordinary packaging, handling & freight costs, much like what the OEM distributors have done over there.

For people that have tried to purchase KTM parts from any of the authorised North American KTM Dealers you will know exactly the situation.

Whenever I encounter this, I ship to a mate in North Carolina who forwards to me. If the local has what I want at a reasonable price, no problem, but when you cannot get it here, these attitudes and practices are stupid.

Seems it's finally here. Chaparral-racing.com in the US has stocks and it looks quite good 8) May have to get rid of my old school look at last :D

www.eastcoastvintagemx.com             pants $169,jerseys $49,gloves $24.95, looks like no helmet yet,they also have an ebay store,I wore the JT gear back in the 80,s didn't "go the rat", might have to get me some,looks good :)

Yep not a bad price...but they want $ 100 to mail it here...WTF

I didn't look at the postage cost from eastcoast, that's bloody ridiculous :o,D projets ebay deal is more like it :)

talking to Jason at East Coast - they aren't allowed to sell on Ebay and the current seller there has been asked to shut down.  Apparently JT wanting to sell in the States only at the moment.

"are trying to make a big push on keeping the gear within the US . They require that statement on any advertising - no eBay auctions - no advertising on any international websites - we had to sign an agreement, etc....."

Was chasing a pair of pants myself but might not get them in time.  Also I am not going to pay $100 to get them shipped here - sellers on ebay quote $34.95 and I thought thatw as expensive?

Maybe you could use one of the shipping redirection companies? 

Anybody want to organise a group buy, maybe the postage will be a bit cheaper per item that way!!

Received my Red/Blue cloths a few weeks ago. The pants sizes seem spot on but the jersey sizes seem a little smaller than average. US$60 shipping from http://www.chaparral-racing.com/home.aspx excellent quality

I wonder if they will offer an open face helmet and matching mouth guard. My preferred choice for casual trail bike riding.
