Great little bike.
« on: August 04, 2007, 11:10:14 am »
In order to free up a few dollars to put toward put hopefully a CR125m im selling my neat little DT100. Last owner gave it a rebore ( 1st over ). Engine is sweet. Seat recovered with little extra foam for us bigger boys.  ;D
Great little pitt bike. Has compliance so if your really keen could rego it. Has all lights, binkers,  Key, switches, working steering lock, horn, No mirrors. Blinkers are not connected, last owner removed them I have only bolted them back on. Still has original rubber lever covers and think hand grips too.

Cosmetics are original with tank only one smallish dent on left top from dropped helmet. Speedo shows 1580 miles. Swingarm bushes, wheel bearings and brakes are all in good nick. Rear shocks still have some dampening but getting tired. Forks will need seals and oil top up before being ridden to far . Carby needs good clean and tends to flood a little. Their is slight rusting on top forks tubes with left being worse then the right. Some surface rust on few of rear wheel spokes, Rims are good. Little bike had been standing in a shed but had not been ridden for number of years before I purchased it. Look for $600. I think that very fair price.

Just took Little bike for second lap around yard after leaving it 3 hours or so. I was mistaken about the carby. Its the petcock thats at fault. It doesn't shut off completely when in off position resulting in barrel fulling with fuel while standing. Thats why on start up she spits fuel out pipe for a while. Carby seems fine once bike spits out excess fuel.

Mate I dunno. It has one of those sticker type ID tags and wouldnt know it, the date part has been rubbed by the headlight wires and I cant read it. All the other shit like ADR crab is fine. If I had to take a guess I reckon its gotta be from 1970s.

If it has an ADR compliance plate on the steering head, then the compliance date will be stamped into it. Unlike older Huskys and KTMs, jap bikes' compliance dates are usually pretty close to their build dates.

Bikes didn't need a compliance plate until 1976, so if it's an enduro/trail bike that's never had a complaince plate, then it's a fairly safe assumption that it's a pre-76 model.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

Thats what it must be then pre 76. Its not a stamped tin plate but rather a sticker with printing.

my guess from your pic is a 77 or 'd' model as it looks to be the small wheel type of dt100. i think the dt100c had larger wheels and shared the same frame as the 125/175.
so me thinks D/77
"flat bickie"
