can somone tell me what makes models were the first producution bikes to be fitted with cartridge forks .

'78 CR250 Honda but they were shite.. I think the '86 CR250/500 was the next model to have cartridge forks that actually worked.

Will stand corrected, but I thought that only the 86 CR250 got them - the 125 and 500 had to wait until 87 (I know this is correct for the 125, not 100% on the 500).

Just checked in the August '86 Motocross Action and the '86 CR500 had cartridge forks.

Yeah, didn't the 125 have KYB suspension and 250/500 have showas?

In my factory manual for my 1984 CR 250 they recommend 534cc per leg of ATF .

I dont know how different 83 to 84 though .

are you sure Johnny? i think that OZ got them on the 87' CR500RH. the 86' CR250RG definitely got them as i have 2 of that model (anyone want to buy one?)

We didn't get poverty model CR's in Australia, we got the same as the US except for jetting and spring rates.
