This Years 2010/11 NZ Mr VMX bikes-show us your beasts
« on: October 26, 2010, 08:39:37 am »
The first race of the NZ Mr VMX series is this coming weekend and I know we are all chomping at the bit.So come on guys show us what you are racing this season.
I will  be riding my only in country bike for the first part of the season;the mighty 1983 RM250D until my RM500D turns up.The 1980 CR 250 coming from the US is a longer term project, and  probably a 2011/12 race season bike.
Anyway come on guys show us what you are racing.

PS Note to self; install chain and pipe prior to race!!

Cheers, yes normally it would have a  TLS but we run Pre 86 over here so I grafted a 85 RM front end on her along with a nos 85 back wheel.
It to run in the new Linkage 250 Class (Pre 86 250 class)

Nah not peaky, its got nice power but definitely has a spike in the midrange but mine has the 1982 head which gives them more snap anyway.

TO BE FAIR THE OWNER OF THE ONE IM FIXING USUALLY RIDES AN RM 400 AND PERHAPS HIS EXPECTATIONS ARE A LITTLE HIGH OF THE AMOUNT OF MID RANGE IT SHOULD HAVE.....I WILL GIVE IT A SHOT WHEN IV FINISHED REBUILDING IT.........BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I RODE ONE OF THOSE......
