Hmmm I've seen pics of that bike and we are not talking a great spread of power mind you.
I am trying to bend the ear of Calvin to get him to make a kit like this for the five hundy. These are for the TRX 250 trike these figures are NOT with methanol but petrol, no engines but a few gearboxes in pieces with the TRX.Another fellow in the US is adapting this cylinder to CR 500 cases.Used mainly for sand drags, it's the cylinder a CR500 should have ;D

G'day Rossenheimer,
long story (of which i will tell you went we meet up) but its still a no go, it has been running intermittanly and i did attempt to take it for a ride the same weekend of CD5 but it would not start (it did the 2 days before that). i can only assume that the CDI has an intermittant fault

i am now awaiting a complete ignition (ebay purchase) from a running bike to arrive from Yankee Doodle land early next week. the CDI for my model is a one model only unit, although the 1984 is similar physically it has a different part number. not many on ebay come up.

Honda changed nearly all ignition components from 1984-87.

yes Shane it has been many problems and drawn out way too long. it has suffered an intermittant fault in the cdi unit.
