Retro MX - Pre '90 comes to NSW
« on: October 09, 2010, 04:03:09 pm »
Hi I have posted this on the new Retro Dirt Bike forum as well. If you would like to discuss this it's probably best if you do it over there as that is where Pre '90 debates belong.

http://retrodirtbike.com/index.php?topic=28.0

I have just returned from the inaugural meeting of the first Pre '90 dirt bike group in NSW.

It was a positive start with a good roll up and some great ideas.

We discussed a variety of things regarding the direction of the group.

At this point in time it was felt that we should commence as a register. The register will cater to motorcycles from the eighties with a pre '90 cut off.

Our first event as a group will happen next Sunday the 17th of October when we travel to the awesome Lakes track for their open practice day. http://www.lakesmotorcycleclub.com/ The club is keen to see a roll up of older bikes and if we get enough numbers we may even get our own vintage session.

We will be having a sausage sizzle and it is sure to be a great social ride day and a good chance to do some fine tuning on your Pre '90 before we kick off next year. Of course you can also ride your modern bike.

If you are interested in coming let me know and we will make space under the Quickshades for you. Either send me a pm or my email address is [email protected]

Cheers
Shaun

Good on ya Shaun. There's been a lot of people talking the talk but you've proved you can walk the walk as well. I wish you and your blokes all the best in your efforts.

Hey Shaun,

First question of merit... what will you do with a guy who shows up with an evo bike? Is he allowed to ride / race?

Will you invite anyone with an evo bike? An evo / pre85 / pre90 day would be pretty compact dont you think? 12 motos approx. done by 1pm, most everyone's home for dinner.

Stirring the brown steemers as usual.
