I really wish him all the best and hope he sticks it up the yanks,BUT history has shown that what he is undertaking is a  big ask; setting up,and running your own team i.e McGrath from Honda to Suzuki of Troy in 1997 ,Jeff Emig Factory Kawaski to Yamaha,McGrath Yamaha to KTM.
This is not a knocking session,I am merely pointing out history and the difficulties he will face,but if any one can do it,Chad can.

What he seems to forget is the production bike rule in the states, surely if it's a bit from this manufacturer & a bit from that manufacturer then any of the teams will be able to protest his bike on that grounds & the AMA will have no choice but to uphold it

Chad may not be that expensive.

Depends on how sponsors view Chad, definitely he can still win races, but will having to run his onw team be too distracting when you are struggling to stay fit and in front of Ryan Dungey and his friends, thinking McGrath, has Chad got 1800-Collect left in him.

Todays melb sun had a short article on Reedy & his new private Honda team,said he may not be riding the rest of the aussie  superX series as he was busy testing &  setting up the new team in the u.s.

Chad pulled out of the Aussie series weeks ago after the 1st round and went back to the US.
Josh Hansen, Mike Alessi and Ivan Tedesco are meant to be at the Sydney round.

I'm sure a lot of people wanted to see Reed race here but he didn't have a ride sorted in the US for next year so that was #1 priority.
