RM400C= steel
RM400N= alloy
RM400T=alloy
N and T have different chain guide and roller setups.
Therefore there all diferent, thats why he asked "what model".
Simple.
Cheers Big Ears.

RM400C swingarms are made of aluminium, not steel, but look a lot different to the N & T model swingarms. Most guys that fit Suzuki swingarms to XT/TT 500 Yamahas use PE 250/400 swingarms, I think, because they are wider and go close to fitting straight in. But I am not sure what would be best to suit a Honda XL500. Maybe a KLX 250 swingarm would be worth measuring.

C model is different to N and T arms   ;) C2 only applies to the 250 250b steel , 250C steel,  250 C2 and 400C aluminium banana arm , bigger version of those 125 C cheater arms  :P runs for cover  ;D

400 N and t arms are straight and IMO ugly compared to the 400 C arms also N has a different chain guide system to T  ;)

You know your yellow things Bill. That solves the mystery of no compliance plate. I just rubbed some of the thick house paint of the headstock to find the numbers and google checked them.
SUZUKI NUMBERS

what do ya know, RM400T  ::)

This is getting interesting, for me at least anyhow.

I have a spare PE400 motor stored (way out of town)in a mates lockup.

To save me going and getting it ::)

Question? does anyone know if it would fit into this RM400T roller ???

Sorry about hi-jacking your thread Chopa ::)

Physically yes it will fit but you may have to tweek some engine mounts??? oldfart???

If you had a RM250T frame then yes it will bolt in no worries, im just not sure if engine mounts on RM400 differ to the RM250.
Wanted - 1978 TS185 frame or frame&motor. Frame # TS1852-24007 up to TS1852-39022

Pe/Rm 250 T  have same centre gasket, which indicates it should fit, as the 400 use the same frame  ;)     Front engine frame plates are different.
