Geez, that was the first year I did all the 6 day series.  It was a great series and a great bunch of blokes is go riding with.

I always liked riding Kogan.  The Dalby club sure knew how to set a good enduro loop, the track was always long, tight and you never got a rest.  This was about the time we started using Barkbusters and it was like they where invented just for this place.
When it rained it was nightmare, black soil and sand that ate brake pads.  There was a wet event in 88 I think 16 of us finished out of 100 starters.
The presentation nights were stuff of legends.
Thanks for posting it.
Cheers
Noel

Funny, my memories of Kogan (82/83) are of it being super fast, laying down on the tank with the choke on so the 125 didn't seize...  Then, back into the trees - 2nd - 3rd gear, then back onto the Flat Knacker roads...  Always used to gear up for Kogan.

I've got an old "Kogan Experience" T-Shirt at home somewhere...

I remember getting lost, the dust-dust-dust, the sandy creek beds , that funny little hill that we always went up, the little finger breaking trees, the anthills in the dust, never being able to keep up [ and now I know why] the parties the night before. :)
In this race I had a big dust problem and when I looked back I discovered that none of it was mine SO I dragged my feet just to even things up a bit. :o
Ha Ha ;D
