Bearings and Seals for YZ250H motor

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with YZ250H engine bearings and seals.  I was looking to get "other than Yamaha" as I think they will be much cheaper 'cause they don't come out a yamaha packet and would be just as good (I'm happy to be corrected ).
Has anyone done the research on alternative bearings and seals ?  I'm looking to replace all the bearings and seals in the motor.  If nobody has done this then I will do the research and post on here.  I was (selfishly) trying to save myself a bit of work (and more importantly time).  DJ any clues ? I note you have been pretty good on some of the bearing and seal dimensions and are the owner of one of these desirable beasts

Hey Tony you need to get to Know your local bearing supplier there are a few bearings and seals that are available from normal bearing supplies and a few that are hard to get and just grit your teeth and pay the dealer price . Best way is to pull them ,tag em where they go and give them to your new best mate at the bearing shop and what he cant get ,get from the dealer . Thats what i do anyway.

I've done up 4 motors last year and havent written the numbers down coz i dont plan on doin them for a while .

If they are Crankshaft main bearings make sure you get C3 clearance (the bearing supplier will know what that means) all bearings have a tolerance C3 is suited for 2 stroke crankshaft bottom ends.

 i would suggest never use anything other than OEM crankshaft main seals

 The main bearings for the crank you can get from a bearing shop, the number is   B6206C3 and you need two of these, make sure you get the 'C3' clearance. The oil seals for the crank are  30mm-55mm-10mm and 40mm-55mm-10mm, one of each.
 I havnt been able to find out about the gearbox bearings, sorry.

The kickstart oil seal is a 20mm-30mm-4.5mm
The gear shift oil seal is a 12mm-22mm-5mm
The oil seal behind the front spocket is a 32mm-42mm-4mm, but check the depth because a 6mm could well fit too.

I agree with Hoony on the crank oil seals, even though I have given you the sizes it doesnt mean after-market oil seals are as good or made to go in the crankcases.

crank seals Yamaha part numbers are; 93103-30150-00 and 93103-40091-00

Thanks Fellas - I knew you blokes would know.  I will take your advice on board.  I'll see what I can come up with from the various bearing blokes and order the crank seals from Mr Yamaha (sadly no longer in Innisfail).
I'll take the gearbox bearings in and get them measured and post the dimensions and numbers they give me.
Then all the 250H owners can add the info to their little databases for future reference.
DJ - have you worked out what type of Aussie beer you like yet ??  Whatever it is I'll shout you a few.
There is always a few suspects that turn up on my threads that are helpful.  Looking forward to shouting 'youse all a beer (or rum) at CD5.

Tony I'm only to happy ta help if I can. A cold one will be just fine unless you want to see how a kiwi spews his guts out everywhere just add rum , to many nights on the rum as a young fella have ruined my rum drinking days :'( :'(, bourbon was the next choice after the rum, but once again the over-indolegents has put a holt to sitting down with Jack and Jim :'( :'(.
