A lot cheaper than the $400+ I was quoted when I inquired about new rims locally.

But are you comparing apples with apples?

Were the $400+ local rims no name brands?
or brand name rims with a solid reputation?

The thing that always bothers me with cheap stuff like rims is what standard are they built to.
With they crack or flat spot easily?

That's the reason I have always balked at buying new rims, too pricey, unknown quality and did I "REALLY" need them.

I reckon they're just the thing for a resto that isn't going to get ridden.  ;)
I bought a set for one of my CT90's and they look the part, but this bike doesn't get ridden, so I figure they should hold together.  :D

I asked the question and got the answer (which doesn't answer the question - what brand are they?).

"Don't worry I never sold Chinese wheel rims
about size 18 x 2.15 + 21 x 1.60
best
Wichanchai :)

- mutual_motorbike"

So there you go - nothing to worry about when it comes to quality ::). Mr Wichanchai in Thailand has reassured me  ;) :D.

(I think display model/ street riding only for my money 8)).

Huh I have restored CT90's . To varied quality and "style"... then on sold them all for SFA. their natural price...... actually Tony may have some bits from me.... :D
Back to the Thai alloy rims, know very very well of one set for DT200 that cost $197 AUD posted. Arrived with incorrect rear rim which was replaced free of charges!!!! did not have to even return the rim. Quality was as good (read soft as shit..) as the original items . Cheers Tim754

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.
