Quad and classic moto cross come and ride day
« on: August 25, 2010, 09:02:30 pm »
There is a Quad and classic MX come and try day at Barliegh Ranch (CD6) this Sunday 29th August. Organizers have agreed to allow MX sidecars to attend and ride so if there are any MX sidecars in the Newcastle area drag them out, and lets burn some fuel. Pay on the day.

Well just come back from the ride day at Barliegh ranch and I have to say what a great job the club and its members have done of fixing up the track it has a bit of every thing in it but nothing dangerous very vintage friendlly and a very flowing track so if anybody gets a chance to ride there go it is nothing like CD 5  and having the quads there was just perfect as they would go out and sweep the track and flaten out any ruts that would form

Steve, Thanks for the go on the chair of the mighty CR500 EML, it was a blast, and three laps of Barleigh Ranch was enough for a first timer. My arms were thinking.. one more lap and I aint gonna be holding the rest of you on here. I'll have to do some rowing practice for more arm strength! Good to get some crossed up jumps and a bit hairy on two wheels at times was exciting.
ps Great story of the racing at the 2010 Aussie Titles on The Suspension Shop page....just read it.
pss I raced in the over 50's open class on my '73 Bul Pursang but got a bit outclassed in the mud. Watched all Walter & your races but, great stuff.
