Andrew McFarlane's bike stolen

The late Andrew McFarlane's bike has been stolen from his brother Cameron's shop, MX World, in Capalaba, QLD on Thursday.

Cameron McFarlane told the Brisbane Courier Mail that the the stolen bike had been proudly displayed as a tribute to his brother and was not for sale. "It was Andrew's Queensland racing bike,' he told the paper. "This one was a bike that we wanted to keep and unfortunately that's not to be any more."

According to Australia's Courier Mail: The brother of motocross legend Andrew McFarlane—who was tragically killed in a crash this year—has appealed to the thieves that broke into his Capalaba shop yesterday morning and stole a bike belonging to the fallen champion.

Mr. McFarlane explained that thieves broke into the store around 1:44 a.m. by smashing windows and locks on the front door. He said it would have been obvious that the bike was not intended for sale and was displayed as part of a shrine. 'You've only got to look around down here and we've got all the jerseys, number plates, banners and stuff from his career."

Mr. McFarlane appealed to the thieves to return the bike and said they could leave it out the front of the store with no questions asked. "All we want is the bike back," he said. "Just bring the bike back and they can have everything else."

The 2010 KTM 450SFX, which Cameron McFarlane estimates to be worth between $15,000 and $18,000, formed the centerpiece of an in-shop shrine dedicated to the former world No.2. Andrew McFarlane was killed in a practice lap crash in May while preparing for round three of the motocross national championships in Victoria. The 33-year-old's death shocked the global motocross community.

Read about it in the paper and thought of how easy that would be to sell.
Gotta be a quarterwhit to even think of touching that.
Going to get hurt if they catch him.

The local Redlands paper has a feature article in it, about Sharky's KTM450. A $1000 reward is being offered for the return of the bike.
Lets hope the bike is returned in one piece, soon, and maybe someone has their "5 minutes" with the imbeciles, before the police arrive.
I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

Andrew McFarlaine's stolen KTM450 has been found and returned to his family. Police located the bike in a shed on a property in Tewantin on the Sunshine Coast. The bike is intact except for some stickers and Andrews name removed from it. Nothing mentioned about the scum that stole the bike.

THE REALY SAD part is that the pr*ck that stole it is one of "us", a fellow rider, they should be treated like the "horse" theaves that they are......

Even worse is the fact that Sharkey will never ride it again.
