Period in my mind was what available at that date ie Leathers ( the real stuff ) ....chest protectors - Jofama ... leather gloves with rubber ribs ...Bell open face Helmets with mouth gaurds and so on.
Not what can be copied or reproduced for todays experience. Very much like the bike you are riding.
Each to there own, some of us just want to ride and others want to look the part.
