For sale is a 1989 KX500. The Bike has been fully restored and has done only about 15 mins, and that was only to get it started and take it for a quick squirt. The motor has been rebuilt, top and bottom end, and three of the gears have been re-machined, (Fastlane Motorcycles Launceston). The frame has been sandblasted and powdercoated, a brand new rear disc and caliper rebuilt, new Xring chain and sprockets, new bars, new Pro Circuit exhaust, new side covers, radiator shrouds, front number plate, and fork guards. It has a custom Monster Energy sticker kit. The seat has been re-upholstered as well. There are many other things brand new on the bike, and all of the items replaced and/ or rebuilt can be verified by quality local businesses such as Motorcycle City, Fastlane Motorcycles, and KR Machining in Launceston Tasmania. Thousands of dollars have been spent restoring this bike, and I only want to get rid of it only to get a 250, as this bike is way to bad ass for the sort of riding I want to do.
