Hi all you throttle happy dirt trackers,
I have upload a old video cassette i found of the 1982 King of Nepean to the internet.

This is the format i want to have again.

There is 2 valvers going hard, 2 strokers peaking revs and woman (jan Steward) giving the guys kurri.

This is the way it should be now, none of this "its not fair" bullshit.
Take a tea spoon of concrete and harden the heck up.

Enjoy the memories of what was good racing.

Thanks Matt, what a great meeting that was. I'm pretty sure Jan and Geoff Hart were already married at that stage as I was best man at their wedding, Jan has always played down how good she was but she was bloody quick, Geoff was no slouch either.
In the last of the 3 movies, the guy who hits the fence on the outside of the sweeper is my brother Carl, he actually broke his right ankle on the top of the fence and walked around fo 2 weeks before going to the doc. Carl borrowed David Holthouse's bike for that race and that was the result. I watched that crash from the other side of the track through the viewfinder of my camera, but failed to get a shot as I could see the prang coming & forgot.
Great memmories for sure.
Cheers, Steve

Keep an eye out for the hunky young photographer in the brown & white flanny shirt near the pit entrance. I can't believe I wore a flanny shirt in public. I'm glad I left the Ugg's at home.
