Farleigh castle MXdN 18/19 sept update
« on: August 02, 2010, 05:22:11 pm »
just 7 weeks ish till we kick off the 2010 vets MXdN,    Most of the classes were full in march but we have just closed the Book  as we are completly full.   Dave thorpe, eric geboers and jeff leisk are our headliners racing on both days.  3 RC 500 Hondas are currently prepped and ready for there riders to take to farleigh one more time. Make no mistake this will be the one and only time these 3 guys will ride together it will never happen again.  Other ex GP guys racing are.. rob herring,grayham noyce, werner dewitt,neil prince,greg hanson,pete mathia,brian wheeler,russ jarman etc..   5  x world champion and Belgian legend Georges Jobe will be our guest of honour  and hopefully Andre malherbe and Harry everts will be with us also,  harry is currently re scheduling his travel to the USA to attend farleigh.

The main event will be the Twinshock MXdN , the teams this year will be racing for the "Danny Magoo Chandler" MXdN Trophy,  This stands some 3ft tall and had been kindly purchased by  Mr Dave Grant who was Dannys manager when danny raced in europe in 85  { we made sure the trophy was big enough not to be able to be carried on a flight to australia as hand luggage as a dissinsentive for the ozzies to win it!}

Teams   England , France, Belgum,Germany,spain,scotland,Australia,Holland,Monaco. with Italy and latvia a strong possibility.
Farleigh opens up on thursday 16 sept

Sign up is on friday 17 sept between 10am and 6pm only.

Who is in the Australian team with you O'Show?
What is the format? Is it 2 motos or des Nations style?
Good luck and kick some euro butt.

Brad, Rusty and Chris Hall are the other 3 riders.
The format is 2 x 20min moto's Sat and 2 x 20mins Sunday.
It won't be easy...there's a few ex GP riders in the field but we'll do our best.

I wish I was going.....I made plans with my Pom mate but the impending operation buggered any chance of travel. Not to worry, you blokes will do us proud. What a shame there's no Yank riders....Lackey, LaPorte, Smith etc.....How come Dave? There are plenty of old pros racing twin shock / vintage in the USA these days.

When i started Farleigh VMXdN i wanted to create a event that riders and fans wanted to attend because they love vintage motocross ,   everyone who attends farleigh does it on there own $$$$$$$$$$$$.   If i pay one rider then the event is finished simply because we dont have ££££££££££££££ to pay anyone.  Every man and his dog thinks big meetings makes big £££. wrong ...if i worked out the hours i put in to the event i would be far better off working in McDonalds!!!!!!!   True. I only do it because i love our sport.

Oh and a certain painter Rob Kinsey took it on himself before the 2009 event to write and distribute to his american chums an  e mail saying how crap the event would be. And for his american chums to stay away from my our event.    What a tosser!!!!
