Interesting thing about twostrokes.
The oil is heavier than the air in the motor and any oil left over tends to sink to the lowest point.
The long bit in the bottom of a VICTA used to act as a kind of sump.
Victa made a twin cylinder mower and because they forgot this every time you tilted it back to attack some long grass it would oil up the back cylinder.

SO what has this got to do with this Maico Twin? I think it would run very funny.
The fuel air oil mix would tend to make the bottom cyl rich and the top lean. I recon this is a one off and it drove them mad.
After a closer look I take most of the above back. That thing has 2 carbs, so must have seperate cylinders.
HOW DID THEY SEAL THEM FROM EACH OTHER?
