The Fat Lady Hasn't Sung Yet Casey.

Keep ya head down, arse up and give it the berries mate. The season isn't over yet.

http://motomatters.com/news/2010/07/17/how_lorenzo_s_engine_blow_up_could_affec.html

"And with four engines left for the remaining ten race weekends plus Sunday's race, Lorenzo's prospects of making it to the end of the year without an engine penalty are starting to look bleak. One of Lorenzo's remaining engines already has serious miles on it, and will be heading into the danger zone very soon indeed."

Nothing is quite as satisfying as a 'come from behind' championship victory.

And boy didn't that engine make a mess when it let go last night!
Then the oil spat spies off and another rider off his bike and into spies' fairing.
It was kinda nice to see a 4 stroke let go like that....a bit of liquid steel and that engine case will be as good as new ;D

Another thing is Honda's engine life program is bang on track. IIRC after Assen did they go to No2 engine. The Honda's seem to have no drop off in performance either. More worrying for Furusawa-san is what ever fails at 1500km destroys the engine as Dennis Noyce points out in the article.
Felt sorry for Randy de Puniet has his recent solid performances have moved him right up the HRC pecking order, he go some grame/swingarm updates and was due to get a host of engine software upgrades to put him very close to Repsol spec.

Unfortunately for Randy if he starts to really perform he'll find out who really runs honda-Alberto Puig who happens to be Pedrosa's manager. Does anyone remember how Hayden as reigning champion was made develop a bike physically sized for Pedrosa, I can see Stoner running into the same issues next year

But he just got passed by some guy with a broken leg..............  ::)

I've never been a Stoner fan, but I reckon with some maturity, he'll be up there again.  :)

Edit: OOps....... he just passed him back........  :D
Gutsy ride from both Stoner and Rossi.
