What will l do with this engine

Now, l have a 1966 Montesa 250 4 speed motocross engine, what will l do with it, build a Motocrosser, road racer, or vintage road bike, any ideas.

Leave it in the shed, that way you'll save yourself a lot of time and money building a bike then selling it.

Frosty, they are very rare, Lyall O`brien used these engines for roadracing, Gary and my brother raced them in their La cross, and cappra gp motocross bikes. they are and excellent engine.

I'm a newby with such mods, do you need to paint the rat before you nail it?

Ideally, the rat should be painted with a high-temp clear

If you're into bling, then paint the rat (or even anodize it). If you're 'true' old school then leave it 'el natural'....
