I reckon 6k plus will take it home. I was offered 5k for my DT1 a few weeks ago so I reckon $6000 for a bike that supposedly only exists on paper must be a fair deal. Shit, who knows, a rich guy from the Phillipines may throw 10 k at it.
The market is getting scarier every day.

I don't know about $6k, but an original bike with that history is worth more than any garden variety PE.
I paid way more than I should have for a '74 2-door Benz simply because it had all the paperwork and I actually spoke to the original owner.
In my opinion, an original car/bike with history is worth way more than the best, money-no-object restoration.
And having Geoff Eckleberryblunderbridge as a previous owner doesn't hurt..................  ;)
Good luck with it, Mark!

The engine is a brand new 5.4 litre  S.O.H.C. Ford that may one day end up in the Jag if the V12 gets stroppy.
