Honda XL250S 23" front wheel
« on: June 26, 2010, 10:17:19 pm »
I'm looking for an XL250s front wheel for my Antig slider project. An XL500s wheel would pass but I've been told by "those who know such things" that the 250 hub is smaller, lighter and therefore more desirable for my slider application. Naturally I need the backing plate and brake shoes as well.

what was wrong with the gen front wheel you got with the frame.those honda rims are way to big for speedway 23" tyres so i got a 23x3.00 from the us 1/2 the price i could get 1 here.

Nothing at all wrong with the Antig hubs that came with the bike Jim, in fact they're too good and rare. I'll use the hubs on my pre 65 Ducati and fit the Honda wheel and an 18" Maico rear to the slider. Jonesy uses Honda fronts on his sliders and has no problems with 'em so that'll do me mate.
