Vintage Iron tank skins
« on: December 29, 2007, 12:04:04 am »
Vintage iron are advertising tank skins which to me look very much like the perforated decal sheets MXM used to sell in the States.  I wouldn't mind some for one of my bikes - plastic tank - Vintage Iron doesn't have white and MXM are off at the moment.  Does anyone have any ideas of where else this can be bought?

Why don't you try DC Plastics. They have 'skins' for a range of Yammy tanks.

Either direct;

or try one of the Aussie distributors.

If you try them, give us a product report. There is a 250E and 250F project in my (distant) future and they may be a good solution.

Rossco why dont you just clean the tank up that you have? Scrape it with the blunt edge of a window scraping blade.(if you can understand that?) if you cant I will post up a picture of the blade I use and how it cleans tanks.
If at first you dont succeed, give up and drink beer
