Hi all,

CD7 is done and dusted ....... haven't had enough of riding Green Park and clearing drunks hill????
then it's time to get your registrations in for the Classic.
Refer www.qvmx.com.au for rego forms. A late fee will occur for entries received after the 16th July so get them in early.
Don't forget we cater for all classes up to Pre 90.

Cheers Terry

:-\ Hi Graham, Sorry to hear you won't be attending the Classic.
I just did a quick check of the last few years programs and as far as can ascertain a 4 Stroke class has not been run since 1996.
If there are any other riders out there that want a 4 stroke Class next year then let us know. As a committee we will run whatever the majority of our members want.

Hooney...... yes we run the Conondale Classic around this time every year. Check the 2011 Calendar as soon as it comes out in January.

Cheers Terry

Mate the first inaugural connondale classic was only held in august 2006, and if memory serves me correct we have only missed one year when CD6 came to town, and we did have a four stroke class every year, in fact we went through this with Trev one year, It wasnt on the programe so we pushed for it on the day and had a full grid of 30+ bikes, but hey have fun cos Im going trail riding, ( no b-shit there ) :-X

Mate......It's never too late to do something about it. Why go trail riding when you have another opportunity to ride Green Park.

We have a general meeting of QVMX at Biddaddabah next Saturday night so come to the meeting and raise a motion that we include a 4 Stroke Class. We then have 3 weeks, (which is plenty of time) to advise all concerned about the addition if it gets passed at the meeting.

As I said before, if the majority want it, we will do it. Unless the new committee are advised of passed decisions we can't fix something we don't know anything about.

Regards,  Terry

Terry, Graham's bike also qualifies as and Evo bike so it is not like he doesn't have a class to run in?

I don't see the moderns having a special class for the 2 stroke bikes only at any event these days?

But he is correct in saying we ran four stroke as a class at previous events.

Naa, it should not need any votes as it has always been part of the programe, just like all the other classes, as I said this has been done before and well who gives a rats, if someone else feels as passionate about there class let them take it up .

Shane ,yip its a EVO and I do have that class, but lets see you ride a dog trail bike against a full squad of MX bikes,  at least in a four stroke class it has a more even footing , hell we have never called for seperate 250 or open classes .

And what the hell has modern MX 2 strokes an four strokes got to do with this.
Gosh its a shame a slow 4 stroke trail bike can go so Fast !!

Well Graham nothing really (the modern 4 and 2 stroke) but same would have been said in the late seventies when a bloke on a 4 stroke wanted a seperate race ;)

As for the competiveness of your bike, mate I have seen you ride it and you run at the front of the bunch at Brisbane and QVMX rounds!

But are you concerned that you can't get a ride or that you can't be seen out front, or can't get a ride in two races on the same bike?

Big difference in that mate.

Lots of other people run one bike in one class and due to there skill level or machinery don't run at the front and enjoy themself's just the same.

So if you what to go trail riding that is fair enough but don't call it because you are saying you have no class to run in thats all.

Shane

over a period of time the numbers dropped off :'(
so it was not included on the program but
what we did was if there was enough riders we would
run a 4 stroke race all capacitys and years
there has been a 4 stroke class at every conondale classic
but it was not included in the program
the 4 stroke numbers had increased over last couple of years so thats
why we ran it
it does not need to go to a vote as it has always been run
so if there are  enough numbers to run a race it should be included
cheers rusty ;)
follow me to first turn

Gosh, shane some of your comments are unfounded but, suppose you have to come up with some wounderful senarios, makes for good reading I guess.

Sad you seem to miss the point but if it suits your agenda, best of luck ::)

Please explain to me Graham where I am wrong?

I run 84 cr 250 so I can only run in one class (which I am happy to do)

You run a TT250 but wish to ride it in two classes (Evo and 4 stroke) or you will pickup your bat and ball and go home (well not turn up)

Suits my agenda? riding my bikes suits my agenda just fine Graham.

I have no problem with people who have a genuine pre 75 classic four stroke that wish to show case it in a race, good on them and more of it I say but to point fingers at the organisers because you can't get your own way is an agenda to me, you raised this point not me

Unfounded, I rode in the Seventies and early eighties and don't remember and special 4 stroke race?

Second point you do ride your bike fast so again can't see how that is unfounded

As for the 2 ride thing well we have covered that enough

Last point was the point about blokes being out there for the ride on what ever and enjoying it not to sure what is unfounded there as well

Balls in your court sport

Im off the the CRC to enjoy riding my bikes ;D

Once again for those that unable to grasp the concept, ( I'll write a bit SLOWER ),

The CRC has always run the class from day one ( ok you werent there then its a history lesson ), It should be included in the entry form just like any other class, if the numbers are not enough for a race, then lets move on.

But to drop it  from the programe is wrong.

You can argue all you like, this is my view.

Now go a play with your own balls in your own court.
