Hi All, new member that resides in South Africa. I am a member of VMXSA and race in the national VMX series here in SA. Currently race with a 1980 PE175. I own some other oldies and just started a resto on a Montesa 360 H7. Will posts some topics with some resto pics on the PE and Montesa.

Jurie

Thank you. Where will I place the resto info? In the Vinduro section? Just have to warn you in advance that the Montesa is going to become a '81 Cappra VE replica. No vinduro events in SA so will be a pre-85 MX contender.

Welcome DT Mania or should that be Soccer Mania  ;D Went to MX school on the weekend and its up there with MX as a fitness sport ,reason being you don't score in the first half,so you just keep going to time end.  ;D
Anyway back to VMX/Vinduro
I reckon you should post you resto in Vinduro section as its a bit quiet over their some days.Good to have a SA on board as a few of your crew are heading over the West Side of Oz in August so will keep in touch. cheers  8)
Best is in the West !!

Welcome DT_Mania, I would also love to see some pics of yours and other bikes in SA. Is it easy to find a VMX bike there or are they scarce? I just spent 3 weeks driving 6500klm's in Africa but didn't see any VMX bikes in the flesh or advertised. I was also looking out for a Falcon Faimont GT but didn't see any sign of them either. Don't suppose you would have one tucked away anywhere that you want to part with?
Anyway I look forward to your take on VMX SA style.

Regards Stan S.

Suzuki A80 Cafè Racer - It was my own little project when a bunch of us wanted to start a 50cc club to reminisce on old times. When we where 16 and a 50cc where all we where allowed to ride on public roads.

The original bike:

The strip:

Halfway through:

The ALMOST finished project - will get a photo of the completed bike on here:
