Just interested if anyone has played around with, or has any idea's about different timing figures. I read an article that had a dyno test on a PE 250 that found the optimum power was obtained with the timing retarded 4 degrees from standard. I have tried this on my PE 250 and it certainly seems to run clean and crisp, plus start easily. Can't tell whether its quicker or not, but I guess if you do all the small things its got to be better overall. Any views one way or the other?
