Still working on the pipe.  Using a much modified VF 414 pipe.  cut, fit, cut, weld, cut, cut, fit, weld!
The VG 250 frame never came with a 414 motor, so it's a franken monty.  I did make sure not to change
anything that I can't undo to return it back to original 250 trim.

Beautiful job Jared . The polished side cases look excellent but will probably be a nightmare to keep that way? Have they been clear coated?

My Cota 350 had the same kickstart lever . It allows you to kick past the footpeg but I found it very slippery as you sort of kick at an angle and if your foot slips off then your calf muscle cops it  :'(.

I often wonder why Montesa did such a major update to the VG250 but left the VG414 very similar to the VF. The VG250 kept the same old front brake but the 414 got the very large but effective asymmetric job and the H7 series got the asymmetric rear brake   .

Jared have you had to cut the head fins down to get the pipe to fit between head and frame/tank,the one i have which is the 250vg frame with a 414vg motor in it(Big flywheel = lots of torque brill) the head fins are cut down on left hand side to allow pipe to fit the pipe is a 414vg one cut to fit(this was already done when i got the bike). The shocks on mine are the original Betors and i must say work great the guy that serviced them said they were like an ohlins copy internals.Where can i get the air filters for it from.

Will know by this weekend if the head fins have to be cut. 
Can't say about the air filter.  I'm using a different setup
than original.  I think Solo Montesa (yikes) has the oem filter.
I would have used the stock setup, but I have fitted a Mikuni
which has a much larger opening than oem Bing.
