Who was that champion that you feared the most on that starting grid, and you desperately wanted to beat.

Thats true,  starting line, or if a rider like Roger de coster was on the grid next to you, your ego would be flat. Years Ago you would study the program, checking out the riders that where going to be in your heat, thinking, well that looks good l will have a chance in that, then get to starting line, and you look up and you see race numbers 79, 18, 50, 2, 54, 5, 12,11, 45, etc, F-------k where did those buggers come from, f------k l was looking at the wrong heat. Shit. ( l have my work cut out now.)

Lieskie (both), Jason Marshal, Robbie Twyerold, in fact it is a very long list of riders who short of their bike breaking I wasn't going to beat.

Hey Tony, are you sure Andy was the only thing between you and glory?  ;D  ;D  ;D

Hey marcFX, Jason is a good mate of mine, did you race him here in WA or on the East coast?

I guess this is where we all differ, as being a passenger you have very little say in it.
My job was/is to go out and do my bit to the best of my ability and hopefully not stuff up. I had no say in if we won but would bare the brunt if we lost. You can be primed to the hilt, love the track and be as fit as you can be, and still not win because the driver has a bad day, can't jump or the bike goes off song.
However, when it all goes well, then the gratification is much greater than having done it by yourself.
It's about the team and until you've experienced it, you will never know.
So who was/am I scared of-NO ONE -only the ones that beat me better watch out.

It would have to be Walter's cousin Emil Bolhalder.
