Name tags for CD7
« on: May 16, 2010, 09:50:36 pm »
I think someone made up name tags for a previous event am I'm wondering if it's worth doing something for CD7?

Rather than having tags with everyones name how about a blank tag? About the size to suit the name tags they seem to like for conferences and such, the ones with the clear plastic holder and the pocket clip if you get my drift.

I don't have the smarts to do this but my suggestion is can someone make a template for an OZVMX tag that we can download and print. We can write our own name on it, or even add the name (on your comp) before it's printed.
I've seen simillar done I think in Microsoft word where you down load the document, add your details and print it. Cut it out, slip it in the holder and us out of towners can see who is who.

The holders can't be more than a few $ at most and unlike stickers they are reuseable

Hey, would we use our alias ozvmx name or disclose our real identity?  8)
I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

I guess you could just cut up a piece of card, scrawl your name on it with texta and slip that into a holder. I think I still have mine from the year before last, when one of the guys on the forum (I've now forgotten who) did up a whole swag of them and we could pick them up from the VMX mag tent. He did a good job, that guy!  The really quick and dirty option is a bit of masking tape - you can just slap that on your shirt...

Use your forum name, who'd know you if you rocked up with a tag with Bob Smith on it?

CD5 we had some grouse ones with the old OzVMX logo on and everything.  Was it Maicopunk that put those together ??
CD5 tags seemed to run a bit more smoothly than last year for some reason  ::)

Maybe get a list of the guys from here that are going for pre-printing and a few blank ones for others ??

I could possibly do something if Graeme can send me the logo and a list of names.  1500 is probably a few too many as many of those are probably from overseas.
Looking for YZ250C parts NOS if possible

I'm pretty sure everyone has a lanyard from something or other these days. They have a pocket in them so you can put any tag or card in them.
Maybe Suzuki could whip some up even.

Watch out for the long tent pegs!!!!!!!!

Don't you start  ;D ;D ;D  I am working on the "Shit Happens / What are the Odds of That" perpetual trophy.  Includes the actual piece of pipe with the friggin' tent peg hole in it  ;D  Personal punctured by my good self  ::)

Of course as the current title holder I will be presenting it to some other poor mongrel that has incredibly humourous bad luck getting to or during CD7.

Pictures to follow once I have finished putting it together.

Edit - cant spell for crap
