Searching for a Kawasaki KLX250 magazine article?
« on: May 10, 2010, 12:57:09 pm »
HI Guys,
I am trying to find a magazine article that compares two modified Kawasaki KLX's.

It would have to date back to '79 or '80 [and maybe, just maybe 1981]. From memory it compared a White Bros KLX with a Powroll version.

A similar article appeared in Cycle - Mar 1980 [this has been discussed on this forum before and I have a copy of that mag].

I think the article appeared in either Cycle Guide or Cycle magazine, but I can't be sure as the old grey matter is getting older and greyer.

If you can help that would be great.
Thanks in advance.

I just had some info that it is either:

Cycle Guide November 1980, or Cycle Guide November 1981.

Can anybody help me further?
Thanks

You should check out issue 41 of VMX Mag.
They did something on some modified KLX's.
I think you will find it to be a good read.

Jeff apparantly the differences were one was forking slow and the other was Ridiculously forking slow  ;D however they both handled well (probably because they were so slow  ;))

Jeff, if you come accross the article I would love a copy. I have been looking for the other one too.
I bought my old KLX when it was 9 months old. Gutless, yes, but it handles sooo well. It will even go places that embarass the modern stuff.

I will keep my eyes open for the magazine.
