Clean, measure and assemble all the parts including new seals and oil.
You will need Locktite, seal driver and a 4mm rod.

Next pass the dampener rod down through the inner hard chrome sleeve.
Locate the cap onto the bottom end of the dampener rod.
I placed a drop of locktite to fix the cap to the end of the rod.
If this is not done the cap can fall off inside the fork during assembly.

Next, place the slider bush onto the bottom of the hard chrome inner tube between its retaining lugs.
Now this is the tricky bit feed the dampener rod and inner tube into the outer tube while compressing the bush and keeping it in its proper location.
I use a 4mm diameter S/S rod to help keep/feed the bush into the outer tube.
This will take a few goes as this is not easy.
Be patient and don't force it.
These bushes have a teflon coating that sacrifices itself instead of the aluminium of your outer tube.
The bush in the attached image is worn out and needs to be replaced.
