can some one help do you use fuel additive in your fuel i have a 84 rm125 do i need to use fuel additive with unleaded fuel thanks gazza thats a lead additive

No.
The reason for lead additives is to avoid valve seat recession in (some) 4-strokes.
Obviously this is not an issue for a 2-stroke like an RM125.

The other reason lead was good, was because it increased the octane rating of the fuel. Modern Premium fuels have an octane rating at least as high as Super did, so that's a non-issue.

thanks rules out one more thought on why i cant get her to run right got the stator back today full rewire and rewind still want go into band just coffs it will go in downhill if i keep on it thanks gazza

don't forget to avoid ANY of the new fuel with ethanol in it.. eats your seals faster than Suzuki can empty their old stock..

been using e85 for  some time now and have found no issues with seals. PM sent gazza

Then perhaps you haven't been using ancient Suzuki seals, Lawrence. I have seen this three times now. Eats away at the old seals. No, not imaginary. It happens.

That's propretry info but as a general rule e85 sits between straight petrol and methanol. With methanol using a factor of 1.5 fuel usage(BSFC) and petrol 1.00

I just google up some info saying blends >15% ethanol have bad effects on nitrile/rubber, but <10% have no adverse effects
