CR390 shock length
« on: April 08, 2010, 05:16:29 pm »
Can anyone help with the correct standard length of 1977 CR390 shocks please? These are different to '77 360 as the frame mounting points are different. Also seeing the VMX rules state that the travel must be limited to 9" on this model to be legal for pre'78 (even though it was 10" standard in 1977), what length shock would bring it back to legal. The bike I have has no shocks and my literature gives part numbers, not specs. Any help appreciated.
Cheers,
K

I'll check through the info I've got tonight for the shock measurement.

FWIW the way I limited travel on my '77 390CR was with larger bump stops. Cheap and easy.

Ok, a note in the front of the owners manual says 15" eye to eye and the Works Performance site agrees with that.
Unless someone else has better info?
