Just wanted to get opinions as i have used the kenda and the cheeeep china tyres..

vee rubber do a competition trials universal tyre in 18"
it's a real gumball job. See your local dealer and ask them to look it up in the Link International cattledog ;)

caringbah motorcycles can get the v rubber for you but for the 400 i think you better get a michy

are you running on oil or deco track?if oil i have a brand new dunlop dirt track tyre 140 including post or michelin trials tyre 185 including post 07 3821 6777

brett i would go the michelin radial, yes more money than the vee rubber but the vee rubber is 2 ply and i think the michelin is 4 ply if i am wrong some one will put me right.was in kelens last week they have the dunlop and the michelin in stock.

Hey shoreline, Nepean i think the track is an old oil track, but not currently oiled, make any sense?

brett kelens at penrith and the track is not oil, it use to be ask wally about the bad oil days! we have to be enviromently friendly now. sorry brett i have two sign off as it is earth hour.

Dunlop, IRC and Michy (tubeless) are all great and I believe all radial. For Trials the V rubber is not as soft or grippy as the others and has been known to delaminate even during trials. Several have failed at our twin shock trials club in a relatively short time. It could have been one shipment of faulty tires. We only run 4-5psi though.

i used to ride at nepean when it was oiled it was fun used to use k70s on the back
there are still some oiled tracks in nsw but not near sydney.
never had a dust problem back in the 70s

The Michelin radial trials is the best tyre on dirt.. it's what all the good guys run.

There is a Michelin radial tubed and tubeless. Until around 18mths ago they where the same compound and worked almost the same. Michelin discontinued the tubed trials Comp3. They have since introduced a replacement which does not work anywhere nearly as well as the original. Use a Tubeless (tubed naturally) Comp3 as most of the dirt track riders use that tyre
