Does anybody know where l can buy Castrol R30 or 40

I reckon i saw it at supercheap auto NSW Bankstown store as they have a motorcycle section...

Castrol oils are now a division of BP Australia.. You can buy/order it from any BP distributor,  Castrol reseller, and technically from your local BP servo. R30 and R40 have been retained (unlike many BP oils and products) and now sold in a new plastic containers.   I work for a BP servo.....Cheers Tim

Simple question that probably has a complicated answer......Does castor oil go off with age? I'm rejigging my garage at present and in an old cupboard drawer have found a few bottles of 10 year old VP RC3 and a couple of bottles of equally old Castrol RC30. I'm toying with the idea of going back to bean oil in my 2 strokes so I can save myself a quid or two by using the stash I've already got.

Yes and no , if the bottles are opened they will suck up moisture if they are unopened no problems

no only if you 'also' run it in the wipper snipper.

Chain saws are a must however.  just dont put your nose to close to the chian end.

i use the fuel with castrol R in it after i drain out the bikes for summer storage,i  use the old fuel in lawn mower,wipper snipper,chain saw and air blower.My wife wonders why the hell i love sniffing the smoke!! It's great because when ever i smell it,i think of old motor cross bikes.

My left over race fuel also goes into the wife's car......and yep you can smell it at the back of the Kluger.

 Dave I buy it off the shelf [ r30] in super cheap auto in Ringwood  which by the way is just next to the bike shops ,Regards Jimbo
